You’ve probably heard over a million different detox drinks to help you lose weight, but how do you know what one is the best for you, or better yet, whats in the drink, how is it helping you to detox or lose weight?
Ive probably tried every detox drink imaginable and I’m going to share with you the one that has helped me out the most and helped me to see some actual results.
This isn’t actually a detox i found online, this is one I created by researching different detox drinks, and what was put in them to help you clean out your body.
Here is the best and most effective detox drink I have used and what each ingredient does for your health.
1 cup water
1 tsp coconut oil (melted)
2 tbsp lemon juice (not concentrate)
2 tbsp unfiltered apple cider vinegar (preferably Bragg’s)
1 dash cayenne pepper
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp raw honey
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cinnamon
Tastes great if you drink it warm like a tea.
Now, you know whats inside, but why are each of these ingredients so helpful for a detox?
let me go over a brief explanation of some of the benefits.
Besides the fact that coconut oil has been linked to treatment for diseases like Alzheimers, it has many great benefits such as helping keep your blood pressure at a good rate as well as preventing heart disease.
Coconut oil also helps w/ many other things such as vital organs like your kidney’s and liver. It can help increase energy and brain function, digestion.
And of course, coconut oil helps weight loss by burning fat and decreasing appetite.
Wow, thats just one ingredient and there are so many other benefits with coconut oil I wont even go into right now.
Lemon Juice is an excellent source of vitamin C that your body needs in order to help burn more fat during exercise. It also helps to keep your metabolism to keep up.
You will pretty much see lemon juice on almost every single cleanse diet you read about.
Apple cider vinegar:

Here is the second ingredient you will most likely see in every single detox cleanse.
Apple cider vinegar has been known to help lower blood sugar levels, decrease insulin levels, reduce fat storage, burn fat and keep your metabolism up… Basically a power house for weight loss!
The important thing to think about when using apple cider vinegar is to make sure you are using one thats organic and hasn’t been filtered so it still has all the nutrients you need inside to help with weight loss.
The main purpose for the cayenne pepper is to help speed up your metabolism, which helps your body to digest your food and break down fats in your body.
Ginger helps to stimulate circulation and to rid your body of toxins. It also helps to speed up your metabolism (starting to see a pattern here?)
A few other benefits, ginger helps lower cholesterol, it’s an anti-inflammatory to help reduce joint inflammation and helps with nausea and digestion.
The main purpose for honey is to help sweeten up the drink, most people tend to use stevia or some sort of sweetener, but I prefer to use one that also helps my immune system.
Well heres another one that the list can go on and on about. The main purpose for turmeric in this detox is that it is a super food that helps to detoxify the liver, and to lower cholesterol.
A happy and healthy liver is a healthy body that can get to work helping your body lose weight the right way.
The benefit to having cinnamon is that it helps to fight of those cravings of sweats we get all day, just a little bit of cinnamon can help you to avoid over indulging in all those sweats that we love but our body hates.
