Many people (myself included) don’t have time to prep, cook and sit down to enjoy a healthy meal in morning. We have so many other obligations in our lives that time isn’t always a luxury we have.
Because of the busy lives we lead, it becomes even more important that we get the proper neutron and energy that we need in order to help us stay healthy and lose weight.
Healthy smoothies are a great way for us to get the proper nutrients we need and get on with our day.
Wether you’re looking to have more energy in the day or just need some protein to support your body, here are 5 great smoothies that will help meet those needs.
1. Mango chia seed smoothie (energy)
Chia seeds are a great source of energy, they are loaded w/ fiber, omega-3’s and protein and B vitamins. They are also a whole grain organic non-GMO superfood…on second thought you might wanna start throwing chia seeds in just about everything you eat now 🙂
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup mango
1/2 Orange juice
1/2 cup coconut milk
This smoothie is super quick and simple to make, and will give you the energy you need to start off your day.
2. Detox smoothie
Wether you had an intense weekend or just want to get rid of some of that junk in your system, this smoothie is great for detoxing your body and helping your immune system.

1 cup Coconut water
1/2 green apple
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp lime juice
1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 cup ice
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (unfiltered organic)
dash cayenne pepper (very small dash)
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp raw honey
Drink this a supple times a day and good luck not seeing your waistline shrink.
3. Protein smoothie
Protein is one of the most important nutrients you need throughout the day, it helps provide the strength and energy you need to get things done.
There is no reason that protein drinks have to taste as bad as they would with just water and protein like so many people drink. This smoothie will absolutely not only taste better, but also add in some extra protein to help get you through the day.
Make sure to add in some casein protein powder if you think you are going to be going a long time before your next meal, in order to slow the digestion of the protein.
1 scoop whey protein
1 1/2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/4 cup oats
4. Green Smoothie
This green smoothie contains one of my favorite superfoods pumpkinseeds! Packed with free radicals and antioxidants, this smoothie will give your day the added health boost you need.
1/2 cup lemonade
1/2 cup peach juice
1/2 cup Kale
1/2 cup peaches
2 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds
5 .Berry Smoothie (for increased metabolism)
Having an increased metabolism will allow to quickly digest what you eat and help you avoid adding on any unwanted fat; plus it tastes like berries!! 🙂
1/2 cup mixed berries
1/2 cup Green Tea
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
There you go!!
All these recipes are super quick to make as much as they are healthy and tasty for you as well.
